Today Leaf & Lace turns 5- can you believe it! As I’ve been planning out how to celebrate this gorgeous milestone, I've been reflecting my journey as a Photographer, Business Owner and a phenomenally cute human. The past 12 month has been so exciting as Leaf & Lace continues to grow and blossom so I want to share with you some of the things that are worth celebrating and deserve a special mention.
1. I am a Boudoir Photographer & only that!

I am so deeply in love with all things that come with Boudoir that my biggest goal for the last 12 months was doing it full time. For the last 8 years, I have been working a full time job along side my business. I've been a busy gal and I'm finally and proudly ready to announce that as of next week, my one and only job is Leaf & Lace!
I am so proud of Leaf & Lace and INCREDIBLY grateful for everyone who has continued to support me!

2. New studio
Achieving a new studio space was such an exciting & refreshing thing to come out of the last 12 months. In previous years, I was living in a small one bedroom apartment. Although this space served me for what it was, I am extremely happy to have moved into a larger space where I could really bring the vision of what I wanted to Leaf & Lace to life!
3. More women photographed!
It turns out that I wasn't the only person who was excited about the new space because this year I photographed more women in one year than I have ever done before. With Leaf & Lace finally being my full time job, I am predicting that next year will be the same!

4. Leaf & Lace goes on adventures!
As my calendar is now completely open & flexible, I've finally been able to add travelling as an option for Leaf & Lace. With my books currently opened for Newcastle later this month, I'm very excited to see where I will end up!

5. New Mini Session - Self Love for Valentine's
Leaf & Lace has always been about celebrating yourself but this year, I decided to dedicate a day to just that! For Valentine's Day this year, I hosted a Mini Session Marathon and made it themed with all things LOVE!
It was the first time I had held a mini session marathon and I can promise you, it won't be the last!
6. Alexis- We've just gone viral
As Moira Rose beautifully put it “oh Alexis I think you and I might need to purchase antibiotics, I believe we’ve just gone viral”.
Leaf & Lace is a one woman show, which means I run and manage my own Social Medias. I'm constantly learning new things and this year it paid off with reaching some pretty big milestones. I had my first video get over 10k views and THEN this followed with another getting over 150k views!
Going viral isn't my priority when I post on socials, but to imagine 150k people standing in a room watching what I do, makes me phenomenally proud!

This year has gone above and beyond all my expectations. Leaf & Lace is expanding and so is my love for all things Boudoir! I am constantly grateful for all the support that Leaf & Lace receives and I cannot wait to see what the next 12 months brings the beautiful, growing community!
