TW: self harm

This Body Love Project theme may contain images that could be triggering for some. If you need support, please reach out to your support network or resources such as Lifeline, Reachout, or Beyond Blue.

We all of scars. Some are inside, some are on the outside. Some tell a story of exploring and learning our limitations (I mean, did you really learn to ride a bike if you didn't take a few layers off your knees?). Some tell a story of heroics, others share tales of trauma. Some are scars of stupidity (yes I'm looking at you, drunken shenanigan!) and still bring a brief flush of embarrassment when you share the story. Some you wear with pride because without it you wouldn't be here today.

Despite all this, the most important thing about scars is that they are a testament of our inner strength and our ability to heal and grow.

The focus of the Body Love Project for the month of September was scars. These are the images that were submitted.

The Body Love Project is hosted on the 1st of every month on Leaf & Lace's social media. If you wish to participate all you have to do is send me a message with a photo you would like to share that matches that the month's theme.

All Images will remain anonymous unless stated otherwise.
