Boudoir is an intimate type of photography that is designed to provide a lifetime of empowerment and Self Love! Sprinkle a little Bridal magic over it and you have the perfect gift for your significant other on the biggest day of your relationship.
The photos taken during these sessions can range from intimate and flirtatious to downright sexy, tailored to your comfort level and preferences. Remember, they don't need to be X-rated spice. If leaving more to your imagination hits your sweet spot, that's absolutely perfect.
Why should you do one?
At this point, you've most likely invested in engagement photos and have already secured your wedding photographer (perhaps even a videographer), however, a Bridal Boudoir session is more than just another wedding day element. It's an empowering experience, a great way to surprise your partner (which can help with pre-ceremony nerves!) and adds to your intimacy as newlyweds.
When should you schedule a Bridal Boudoir Session?
Short answer - the earlier the better! Ideally, at least 3 months before your wedding day. This gives you time to plenty of time to have your session, order and deliver your album and allows room for you to enjoy the experience without the rush and pressure of last minute pre-wedding scheduling.

When do you give THE Album?
A lot of Brides choose to gift the album during the first look especially because your spouse's reaction can be captured by your photographer/videographer. If you aren't doing a first look, you can leave instructions with someone in your wedding party to pass on the gift while you are getting ready separately. Some Brides decide to wait until the wedding night when you are in your own private space to reveal the gift. And if you are REALLY good at keeping secrets, you can always wait until your first wedding anniversary (traditional gift is paper!) and present your album then!
Choosing the right Photographer for any occasion takes a bit of legwork, but when it comes to choosing your Bridal Boudoir Photographer, it’s definitely not a decision you should take lightly because you are trusting and hiring them to take beautiful and empowering images of you for your very special day and provide a gift that keeps giving!
