Tell me about your Body Love Journey so far.
When I was a wee elf, I struggled with my Body Image a lot. I've always been tall and lanky which is not what you would expect for an elf! As I've grown older I've realised that I need to stand tall and be proud of my Body. Huge believer in self love now days!
What inspired you to do a Boudoir Shoot?
Last summer I had the opportunity to work with Leaf & Lace. I was so excited when I was asked to come back again for 2022. I definitely love seeing the difference and growth between each year's photos!
Describe your shoot experience. How did you feel before/during/after your session?
Of course for my first session I was super nervous! I've never done anything like this before but all my worries drifted away. Shelby is amazing and so supportive! For my latest session I definitely felt nervous but knew what I was in for so I felt equally ready!
Both sessions have left me feeling super empowered! LOVE WORKING WITH HER!
Did you have any concerns or fears prior to the session? How did those play out?
I was really nervous how my photos were going to turn out the first time. I believe I'm the first elf that has ever been photographed at Leaf & Lace so I was worried that my body might look ugly in photos. Of course these concerns were silly! I look incredible!!
What advice would you give to anyone thinking about booking a session of their own?
Just do it! There's never going to be a perfect time to get one except for right now!
Has your session impacted your Body Love Journey? If so, how?
Yes, both my sessions have left me feeling empowered and I feel so lucky to have been able to work with Leaf & Lace. I've definitely learned a lot included giving myself a deeper & unconditional Body Love!
What is your top Body Love tip?
Hydrate and SPF!!! ALWAYS!!!!! The North Pole is so cold and dry, but also here is also very hot so hydrating is so important. I really enjoy the feeling of connecting with my body when I moisturise. It feels very nurturing.
