The Love Story series are pieces written by real women, posted with some of their Boudoir photos. They are sharing with you their Body Love Journey and their experience with Leaf & Lace.

The following interview is with Ginger Randolph.

Tell me about your Body Love Journey so far.

It's taken me most of my adult life to love my body as I had my first baby at a very young age which gave me quite a lot of stretch marks on my belly. I remember an older lady caught a glimpse of my stretch marks one day and commented with a gasp. She was shocked they looked like that. You could imagine why it's taken me so long to accept them. Now that I'm older I've learnt to embrace them, knowing there are so many women like me that have felt the same but never spoke about it. My body carried 3 children and has gotten me this far in life already - why would I not love her. Women are all beautiful and unique in their own way. How boring if we were all the same so now I choose to celebrate my body she deserves it after all.

What inspired you to do a Boudoir Shoot?

I did a group session with Leaf and Lace with my daughter and many other gorgeous women which I enjoyed so much so entered a competition and won which I was so excited to do.

How did you feel before/during/after your session?

I was very nervous at first but brought my daughter for moral support. I started to relax a bit as the shoot went on. My daughter was the best hype woman ever, as was Shelby, who made me feel so comfortable and at ease with her bubbly and loveable personality. I felt so empowered, as a woman, doing the shoot with her and on such a high afterwards.

What concerns or fears did you have prior to your session? How did those play out?

I did have some fears of what the end results would look like - being an older woman and with social media being all about the young, but once I saw my pictures that all went away. Us more older ladies are still beautiful, just in a more mature way (which we all end up one day).

What advice would you give to anyone thinking about booking a session of their own?

Do it! You will feel more confident and powerful as a woman and will see a side to you never see but has always been there. You will have no regrets trust me.

Has your session impacted your Body Love Journey? If so, how?

Oh for sure! I love her even more now - flaws and all as that's what makes me me.

What is your top Body Love tip?

Try not to nitpick on what you think are flaws or not the most prettiest of your body as there is so much more positive things to focus on instead. We are own biggest critic what we think are flaws are beautiful to others.

Write a Love Letter to your body.

Sorry for being so hard on you for so long after you have carried me through all these years in health, as a mother and a lover. I now celebrate you like you should've been celebrated and I will always be grateful for you getting me to where I am today. This is the best I've ever felt in my 50 years of age and I will continue to be your biggest fan.

If you enjoyed your experience with Leaf & Lace, please leave a Love Note.

Thank you so much Shelby for everything, you have been a big part in my acceptance of myself and I hope I can inspire other women (as you do), especially for women my age. To not be afraid to get out there and do the things that scare you because those things will change how you feel and that they're actually not scary but very uplifting. Thank you for being a part of me loving my body even more xxx
